Description

It is a facial color whose tone and shine change depending on the viewing angle, light, base color, paper color, etc.

[Features] At first glance, it appears almost colorless when applied to white paper, but depending on the angle at which the light hits it and the angle at which it is viewed, polarization is added to the pale pearl-like color. When applied to dark-colored paper, light is absorbed by the color of the paper, creating a strong metallic color and shine. Also, regardless of the color of the paper, the stronger the light hits it, the more the particles become colored and sparkle.

[Applications] In addition to mixing Opal Colors with each other, you can also mix them with other water-based inks and paints. It can be used for all kinds of artwork, including illustrations, paintings, and calligraphy.

[About the pigments used] When light hits the shells of opals and pearl oysters, a phenomenon called ``play-of-color'' can be seen where the diffuse reflection and absorption of light creates rainbow-like colors. Opal Colors uses pearl pigments made from high-quality artificial mica to create a similar effect, and expresses colors through light interference without using color pigments. For this reason, it has excellent light resistance and is an environmentally friendly coloring material.
