This shochu cup is produced by Katsutoshi Kato, the 4th generation of the long-established pottery "Shoho Toen", founded in 1912. Ceramic tumblers are said to "round out the taste." It is especially recommended for mixing shochu with hot water or water.
In order to create a ``delicious pottery tumbler,'' we created a unique mixture of clay as a raw material, and thoroughly pursued the fine irregularities on the surface that create the ``mellow bubbles'' that are one of its features. And this work was born.
Ceramic tumblers can retain as much heat and cold as stainless steel, and while stainless steel tends to have a design that tends to be inorganic, ceramic tumblers create a dignified atmosphere on their own.
