Important Notice

This is a vintage, pre-owned item. Small imperfections, glaze variations, or signs of use are natural characteristics of traditional Japanese earthenware and contribute to its unique charm.

Detailed Description:

This Japanese sake set is made of porcelain and decorated in the classic sometsuke blue-and-white style, featuring a refined bamboo motif inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics. The clean brushwork and balanced composition reflect the long-standing tradition of functional yet elegant Japanese tableware.

The set includes two well-proportioned sake bottles and five matching cups, each designed to sit comfortably in the hand and enhance the experience of enjoying sake, whether served warm or cold. The thin porcelain body and gently finished rims are characteristic of Arita-style porcelain.

The set is housed in its original wooden storage box (tomobako) with fitted
compartments, indicating careful storage and authenticity. Such boxed sake sets
were commonly produced for both household use and gift presentation.

Sake ware of this type is closely associated with Arita-yaki, a historic porcelain
tradition originating in Saga Prefecture, known for its fine white body and crisp
cobalt-blue decoration.

Suitable for everyday use, special occasions, or for collectors of Japanese porcelain.
