VAT AND TAX NOTICE FOR EU CUSTOMERS
Since July 1, 2021, the European Union introduced new VAT regulations for e-commerce purchases from outside the EU.
For orders shipped to EU countries:
Orders up to 150 EUR – VAT is generally calculated and paid during checkout. This means that shipments should not be subject to additional VAT charges upon delivery.
Orders above 150 EUR – VAT, customs duties, and any applicable fees are collected during customs clearance or upon delivery by the local postal operator or customs authority.
Please note that additional postal or administrative fees may still apply depending on local regulations.
The obligation to pay VAT, customs duties, and any other charges lies with the buyer in the destination country and remains outside our control.
In rare cases, VAT may be charged again upon delivery due to postal or customs errors. In such situations, we kindly ask customers to pay the fee and keep the proof of payment – based on this, we will refund the VAT amount only (excluding any postal or administrative fees).
If there are any future changes in our VAT system, we will inform customers immediately.
This Shipping Policy describes how orders placed through our website are processed and shipped. This policy has been prepared in accordance with applicable European Union consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.
1. Order Processing Time
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 5 business days after payment has been received.
Processing time may be extended during peak seasons or for made-to-order products.
2. Shipping Methods
The following international shipping methods are available:
Air Mail
Estimated delivery time: approx. 2 weeks
This is the standard shipping method. Orders exceeding 2 kg may be split into multiple parcels. Large-size items may also be shipped separately regardless of weight.
EMS
Estimated delivery time: 3–7 business days
Priority international shipping with full door-to-door tracking.
Shipping is carried out via Japan Post and is subsequently handed over to the local postal operator in the customer’s destination country. In some cases, shipments may need to be collected from the nearest local post office.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination country, customs procedures, and local postal services.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The status "RETENTION" means your parcel is ready to be picked up at your nearest post office. Please make sure to check the latest updates of your shipment on your local post website for the most accurate information.
3. Free Shipping
For orders where the total value of the products alone is 8,000 JPY or more (excluding shipping costs and any additional fees), the Customer is eligible for free shipping.
The shipping method for orders covered by free shipping is selected automatically by the Store based on the weight, order value, and logistical considerations.
The Customer is not able to choose the shipping method for orders that qualify for free shipping.
4. Shipping Fees
For orders under 8,000 JPY, a flat shipping fee of 880 JPY applies regardless of the size, weight, or destination of the order. However, for orders shipped to the United States, a flat shipping fee of 1,800 JPY applies. Orders over 8,000 JPY qualify for free shipping in all countries.
5. International Shipping and Customs
Orders are shipped from Japan. International shipments may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees depending on the destination country.
These charges are determined by the customs authorities of the destination country and are the responsibility of the customer.
Our store does not collect taxes, customs duties, or import fees on behalf of customers.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products ordered comply with the import regulations of their country.
6. Prohibited Items
Each country has specific regulations regarding prohibited or restricted imported goods.
After receiving an order, we verify whether any items in the order are restricted or prohibited for import into the destination country.
If a prohibited item is identified, we may contact the customer to arrange a replacement product or cancel the affected item.
7. Delivery Issues
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information when placing an order.
If a shipment cannot be delivered due to incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, refusal to pay customs duties, or failure to collect the parcel within the time specified by the carrier, the parcel may be returned to us.
- The original shipping cost is non-refundable.
- Reshipping may be arranged after payment of an additional shipping fee.
- If the customer declines reshipping, the refund may be reduced by shipping and handling costs incurred.
8. Shipping Delays
During certain seasons such as Black Friday and Christmas, international logistics networks may become congested worldwide, which may cause delays.
Customs clearance procedures may also affect delivery times.
9. Currency Information
Our store uses Japanese Yen (JPY) as the base currency.
Prices in other currencies are approximate and may vary depending on exchange rates.
