Detailed Description:
This item is a traditional Japanese Gogatsu ningyō (五月人形) in the form of a full samurai armor display (yoroi kazari), created for seasonal display during Boys’ Day / Kodomo no Hi (May 5th).
Full armor Gogatsu ningyō represent the highest symbolic form among Boys’ Day decorations. Rather than serving any functional purpose, the armor is a ceremonial and decorative object, expressing wishes for a child’s strength, health, courage, and protection throughout life.
