Description
Description
An elegant vintage Japanese porcelain lidded tea cup produced by Kozan Kiln, 庫山窯, a tableware brand associated with Maebata in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture—one of Japan’s principal centres of Mino ware production.
The bowl belongs to the decorative Kinrande Fuyo, 金襴手芙蓉, style. The term kinrande refers to richly ornamented polychrome porcelain enhanced with gold decoration, creating an appearance reminiscent of luxurious brocade fabric. The design features large red fuyō-style flowers, rounded green leaves, fine blue branches and generously applied gold-coloured details.
The floral decoration continues across both the bowl and the fitted lid, forming a balanced, coordinated composition. A sculptural arched handle makes the lid easy to lift while adding an elegant architectural accent to the vessel.
